American Soprano Brandi Diggs is a versatile vocalist who sings operatic and solo repertoire throughout the United States and recently appeared as a soloist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and as a recitalist at the Kennedy Center. She has received prizes in numerous competitions. In 2018, she was a semi-finalist in the Lois Alba Aria Competition and a semi-finalist in the Partners for the Arts Vocal Competition. She holds an Artist Diploma from Peabody Conservatory, a Master of Music Degree from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Spelman College. She has performed the roles of Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Nella in Gianni Schicchi, Frasquita in Carmen, as well as others. She was a young artist at the Martina Arroyo Foundation and has studied at the New York Foundation for the Arts’ Music and Mentoring House. An avid performer of contemporary opera, Ms. Diggs has collaborated with renowned modern composers, most recently singing the title role of The Princess in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art’s commissioned operetta, Qadar. Recent performances include Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi and Lily in Porgy and Bess, with the Utah Festival Opera. In 2019, she joins the Atlanta Opera’s tour production of The Barber of Seville as Rosina.
